S/V ‘DREAM’ is a very special vessel. Hull number 003 of 26 Hinckley H-49’s built between 1971 and 1976, she was personally designed by Henry R. Hinckley as a ketch rigged motor-sailor capable of around-the-world voyaging in style. ‘DREAM’ comfortably sleeps 4 in two berths plus pilot on the settee and has both forward and aft full heads. She has a private aft cockpit where one can find solitude, take a hot outdoor shower, or fight blue-water giants like King’s and Wahoo or perhaps catch tonight’s tasty dinner of Mahi-mahi and have it chef-grilled for alfresco dining in her ample center cockpit. Fish-on, Heave-to, and Bon Appetite!

‘DREAM’ has been sailed up and down the east coast, the ICW, single-handed across the Atlantic and Caribbean, and is quite capable of withstanding the onslaught of gale force storms for days on end with amazing grace. ‘DREAM’ was built to be a strong and capable blue-water vessel and coastal cruiser. For several years ‘DREAM’ hosted the New Jersey Sailing School’s ASA bareboat charter and coastal cruising classes out of Bayhead, NJ and would often be seen gracing New York Harbor in full sail as she passed the iconic Statue of Liberty. She has made many a good sailor and fond memories for all. Become a member of DREAM’s sailing history today!
